Overview

Back when I lived in New York my sister asked me if I could create a website for her because doing taxes and business consulting from her own network and by herself has its limits. She needed her time back and she needed a way to multiply herself without breaking the bank so we decided to implement systems that would automate some of her work for her.

Tools

For this project, I used Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop along with Wix website builder and Github to gather a couple of scripts of embedded code.

Pain Points

1. Her business didn't have any identity.
2. We need a system to collect data and send them to her in a readable and easily accessible manner.
3. She needed a way to schedule her client for in-person and virtual meetings so that they can get work done

Solutions

1. She told me she wanted something that would represent our Jamaican heritage so I sketched out a couple of things significant to the country like plants, animals, and foods. After a while, we settled on the Swallow-tailed Hummingbird which is the national bird of the country.
2. We decided that it would be very convenient to create forms that customers can input their information and it would get sent and organized in a Google Spreadsheet file so that she can access them anywhere.
3. We also created a Services page that would allow customers to choose which specific service they need her expertise on and they also book appointments from there so she knows what to expect.
